About Summer Rec Futsal Academy:

The Summer Futsal Academy program will offer 7 sessions outdoors for all players at the recreational level. The game of futsal provides a fun and safe way for all players to improve their skills and stay active over the summer. The Summer Futsal Academy will focus on nurturing every player’s individual skills, game intelligence and confidence. Our academy staff design each session to maximize touches on the ball and decision-making opportunities in tight spaces going to goals. Adding Futsal to a player’s training schedule also improves 1v1 skills & creativity, overall balance, agility, coordination, and overall comfort level and mastery with the ball. The Academy sessions are led by Futsal Academy staff including travel & ECNL age group coordinators.

SUMMER ACADEMY OVERVIEW:

• Once per week program on Saturdays for 7 weeks (7 sessions & 1 make-up date)
• Each session includes Futsal & soccer specific skills, tactics, and 5v5 Futsal games
• Each phase (attacking, defending, transition moments) of the game will be addressed during the 7 week program
• All sessions led by certified professional coaches
• 60-minute session per week
  • Individual skills & games (20-minutes)
  • Small sided games & tactics (20-minutes)
  • 5v5 Futsal games & tactics (20-minutes)

Saturdays:

June 19, 26
July 3, 10, 17, 24, 31
Make-up date: Aug 7

Times/Age Groups:

8-9am: 1st - 2nd Grade
9-10am: 3rd - 4th Grade
10-11am: 5th - 6th Grade
11am-12pm: 7th - 8th Grade
12-1pm: 9th Grade +

FEES:

Program cost: $195 (includes Loudoun Soccer Futsal training t-shirt)

WHAT TO WEAR/BRING:

• Shinguards and flats/indoor shoes (no cleats)
• Athletic clothing
• Water
• Official Futsal Academy t shirt
• Futsal ball will be provided during all sessions

REGISTRATION:

Registration is on a first come, first served basis. Space is limited, so individuals interested in participating should enroll as early as possible.  To register, log in to your Sports Connect user account, and find the Futsal Academy program under available programs for your child, and complete the steps.
