Futsal Clinics

Rec Futsal Winter Clinics

Loudoun Soccer is proud to offer its inaugural Winter Rec Futsal Clinics, Friday nights in January and February at The Campus in Sterling.

About Futsal

Futsal is an indoor version of soccer that develops a player’s skill on the ball in tight spaces, speed of play, and is tons of fun. Futsal comes from the Spanish term "fútbol sala" or "fútbol de salón." The term is commonly translated as “indoor football.” Futsal is played on a hard surface which creates a very fast-moving game. This is a great way for players to develop their technical skills and tactical awareness in tight spaces.

“When I was a young boy in Argentina, I played futsal in the streets and in a club. It was great fun and made me the player I am today.”  – Lionel Messi

Benefits of Futsal:

  • Grows game intelligence – develops quicker reflexes, faster thinking, and more accurate passing
  • Improves 1v1 technical skills & creativity – emphasizes ball control and technical skill in tighter spaces
  • Enhances overall balance, agility, coordination, ball mastery, passing, receiving, etc. – which all translate to outdoor soccer
  • Maximizes player enjoyment in small-sided, competitive, & fun environment with experienced trainers

Rec Futsal Program Overview:

  • Once per week program on Fridays for 8 weeks
  • One hour sessions per week
  • Each session consists of instruction on futsal-related techniques and tactics, followed by futsal scrimmages
  • All sessions led by professional coaches
  • Small-group training (max of 16 players per group) to ensure individual attention
  • Official futsal courts at The Campus

Futsal Director:

The program is led by Chris Pruden, Loudoun Soccer Futsal Director
