Loudoun Soccer is honored to host coaches Brian Wiese and Connor Klekota of Georgetown University Men’s Soccer along with CEO of Deloitte Consulting, Dan Helfrich (GU Soccer Alum, GU Soccer Play-by-Play Announcer, and Loudoun Soccer parent) at Heritage High School in Leesburg, Virginia for our first Leadership Summit.

This two-part discussion will feature the current NCAA men’s soccer Division I National Champions, the Georgetown Hoyas! In Part One, Brian and Connor will discuss game preparation, including highlights of how they approached 2 games in 48 hours to win the College Cup this past fall. In Part Two, Dan (who leads a 56,000-person organization) and Brian will compare leadership perspectives that they employ to build and motivate winning teams. This includes discussion of the importance of diversity, how to handle the “star player” versus those with less visible roles, and whether to “stick to a system” or adjust to your personnel/opponent. Dan will also discuss the ways that lessons and experiences gained on-the-field can translate into off-the-field success once your playing career has ended.
