Travel Program Overview

About Travel Soccer

The Loudoun Soccer travel program provides the opportunity for boys and girls to participate in a competitive youth soccer environment that promotes excellence and sportsmanship. Loudoun Soccer currently fields 80+ travel teams in the 9U through 19U age groups. Travel teams train a minimum of twice per week and play games primarily on Sundays, with some Saturday games throughout each season. Players are selected to play on teams through travel tryouts, which are held in May of each year.

Loudoun Soccer's travel teams compete in either the Club Champions League (CCL) or the National Capital Area Soccer League (NCSL), and may also participate in US Youth Soccer's National League.

As of Fall 2018, Loudoun Soccer's top girls travel teams have competed in the Elite Clubs National League (ECNL), with the club becoming an "All-In' ECNL club in Fall 2019 when the top boys travel teams will also compete in this league. ECNL players are identified through Talent ID Centers, which are separate to regular travel tryouts. Travel team players will have opportunities to develop through the club and potentially move up to ECNL teams as advised by the coaching staff. Please see the development framework resources below to learn more about the pathways for progression, and see the FAQs at the bottom of the page for more information on the travel soccer program.
