Mike Harris began his involvement with Loudoun Soccer as a parent coach in 2006 when his son Michael and daughter Olivia joined the Mini program. His role as a parent in the Recreational program included multiple volunteer positions, from trainer assistant to Challenge and All-stars coach for both girls and boys. He transitioned the 01 Boys Allstar team to the travel program in the Spring of 2010 and continues as an assistant coach for the boys 01 Silver team which now has a professional coach. Mike holds a USSF E level coaches license and played at elite club levels and collegiately.

Since joining the board in January of 2013 as an At-Large member, Mike served as Director of Fields and Facilities in 2014 where he supported the club in the operation of LSP, establishing a working relationship with the Loudoun County Board of Supervisors on potential field opportunities and improved relationship with LCPRS. Over the last year he also assisted the club with key personnel and staff decisions and supported the effort in finalizing the purchase of the facility from Blue Ridge Sports.

Additionally, he serves on the uniform committee which changed the process to be managed directly by the club resulting in better costs for members and funds that were reinvested back in the club. He also led the effort to move to a centralized payment structure for the travel program and served on the tournament committee.

He is employed by Direct Energy as a Senior Business Development Manager and primarily works with large Commercial, Educational and Industrial customers to help manage their energy and sustainable efforts.

Mike hails from Mount Holly NJ and attended  Rancocas Valley Regional High School and Longwood University where he played collegiately. While Mike had experience playing at an elite level, his true passion is the love of the game and ensuring all members, of all skill levels have an opportunity to enjoy the beautiful game while being part of the best club Loudoun Soccer can be!  Mike and his wife Niki live in Lansdowne.
