LEESBURG, VA – Loudoun Soccer is proud to announce Leidos Incorporated as its official Rec Program sponsor.

Leidos is an American defense and technology company headquartered in Reston, Virginia. Founded in 1969, its mission is to make the world safer, healthier, and more efficient through information technology, engineering, and science.  Leidos provides scientific, engineering, systems integration, and technical services, working extensively with the United States Department of Defense; the United States Department of Homeland Security; and the United States Intelligence Community, including the National Security Agency, as well as other U.S. government civil agencies and selected commercial markets. Leidos employs over 31,000 people worldwide.

Leidos also has a proud history of supporting veterans and their families, with over 20 percent of Leidos employees having served in the military. The company was recently recognized as the top government contract business in 2017 by Washington Technology.

“We love supporting organizations in the communities where we live and work — especially those geared toward helping position future generations for success and healthy lifestyles,” said Roger Krone, Leidos Chairman and Chief Executive Officer. “This sponsorship will help us inspire local youth who may one day help us solve the tough challenges of tomorrow.”

As the official Rec Program sponsor, Leidos and its logo will be featured on the front of all new Rec and Mini jerseys beginning the Spring 2018 season. Leidos logo should be familiar to most soccer fans, as it adorns the front of D.C. United’s jersey.

“Leidos and their legacy in Northern Virginia are both well-known and well-regarded,” said Colin Smith, Loudoun Soccer Executive Director. “Loudoun Soccer is delighted to partner with them, and have their support in providing thousands of children across Loudoun County the opportunity to participate in soccer.”
