Bring your family and friends to Sunday in the Park with Friends on May
18, 2008 from 1:00PM-4:00PM at the Franklin Park Performing and Visual
Arts Center. The event is sponsored by the Loudoun County Community
Services Board and Loudoun County Department of Parks, Recreation and
Community Services in recognition of Mental Health Month.

All ages will enjoy an afternoon of live music, entertainers, Red Hot &
Blue barbeque, refreshments, games and an interactive community art
project. Kites will be provided to fly in the park that day and a
professional juggler will be teaching his skills! May is National
Public Awareness Month for Mental Health and Wellness. The goal of this
inaugural event is to raise awareness about mental health issues in the
Loudoun community and the importance of an active, healthy lifestyle.
County mental health professionals will provide prevention and resource
information about depression, suicide, and other mental health issues
throughout the day.

The Arts Center is located at 17501 Franklin Park Drive in Purcellville.
Admission and parking are free. Several volunteers are needed to assist
with the event, if interested in helping out or for more information,
contact Christine Shea at 703-737-8977.
