Good Things To Know
1.  Please make sure that the family name is on your child’s soccer ball.  There’s nothing in the first aid kit to mend the broken heart of a kid who lost their ball.  If the name is on the ball, we can locate the family.

2.  Lost and found items will be kept by the directors until the end of the sessions.  At that time, all unclaimed items will be turned over to the lost and found.

3.  Loudoun Soccer participates in a risk management program called Kidsafe.  All coaches must complete a Kidsafe form, which will be used to run a criminal background check.  All volunteer positions, including that of coach are condiditonal upon the completion of the investigation.  volunteers may be asked to relinquish their position depending on the findings.  When completing the form, please write clearly and contact Sharon Wells privately if you have an issue.  Remember, an adult should never be alone with the players (always have at least 2 adults), all youth information is confidential and not to be sent in emails, posted on the website, sold or given to anyone or any entity for other than the intended purpose for which it was given and can only be given to the player’s custodial parent.  Parents should keep an eye on siblings visiting the playground or wondering around.

4.  There are no outside practices allowed.

5.  Parents need to bring a method of payment on picture day.

6.  Remember our reason for being - a fun based introduction to soccer.  Please enjoy the kids and their desire to be one with the ball and to wear themselves out.

7.  Behavioral problems - parents should deal with unacceptable behavior of their child.  If the parent has the unacceptable behavior, please speak to trainer or site coordinator.  Loudoun soccer does not tolerate abuse in any fashion - verbal or physical.

8.  The Coach should carry a first aid kit or assign the task to one of the parents.

9.  There are to be no goal tenders, long lines to wait in, or penalty kicks as we want to keep the ball in play as much as possible.

10.  Coaches should always have an extra ball in their hands so they can throw it in to keep the game the going when the ball in play left the field.

11.  The coaches paperwork packet contains:  picture envelopes to distribute and/or other items to share with the parents. Kidsafe forms for coach and assistant coach are now on the website.  While subject to change, the packet includes: accident report, parent & coach Code of Conduct forms (to be signed by all parents) and medical Release forms that need to be signed by all parents.

14.  While there are no prizes given for the most errors found on the website, anytime you find something amiss, please let us know so that we may correct it.
