LEESBURG, VA (May, 2019) – Loudoun Soccer would like to extend its gratitude and well wishes to Pat Ramos, who will be leaving the club at the end of the spring season to pursue an exciting opportunity to further his professional development in Miami this summer.

Ramos started with Loudoun Soccer in 2014 and has spent a memorable five years at the club as its Futsal Director and as part of the coaching staff of the 7U and 8U Academies, the Elite Development Program, and of various travel teams.

Mark Ryan, Loudoun Soccer’s Technical Director, stated: “We want to thank Pat for his fantastic work over the past five years with our players. He has grown tremendously as a coach and so many of our players have benefited from his expertise. We wish him all the best in this exciting opportunity in Miami that will allow him to continue to develop professionally in the game.”

The club will miss Ramos, who brought a wealth of experience to his roles at the club. He will move on to Gulliver Schools, a group of private co-educational college preparatory day schools with a national and international reputation for excellence. Ramos will join Director of Coaching and former English Premier League player, Chris Bart-Williams, in building a soccer club structure for the school, introducing year-round club-style training in place of traditional school seasonal play.

With this exciting opportunity, Ramos reflects on his time with Loudoun Soccer Club: “I’ve enjoyed five great years at Loudoun Soccer. Over that time I have not only grown professionally but also in my personal life and for that I will always be grateful to the club. I am extremely excited about this new opportunity and look forward to the new challenge ahead.”

Chris Pruden will be taking over the role of Futsal Director for Loudoun Soccer Club beginning June 1st.

Dean McAlpin, current SYA Director of Coaching, will be joining Loudoun Soccer Club to assume head coach responsibilities for Ramos’s 2004 Boys Red and 2005 Boys Red teams beginning with spring tryouts.  McAlpin is a current USSF A Licensed coach and a USSF National Youth License holder.  Also a VYSA State Cup winning coach, McAlpin has developed players over the years that have gone on to play at the collegiate, professional and international level.  McAlpin will commence his coaching position with Loudoun Soccer full time on June 1st.

Loudoun Soccer would like to wish Pat the best in this promising next step and looks forward to hearing of his accomplishments in Florida.
